Notes of Hope provides a daily performance of thanks by leading Boston classical musicians and organizations for the COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers at Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. We hope that the music will comfort, uplift, and heal our heroes who risk their lives every day.
Notes of Hope is organized by Taiwanese-American pianist Gloria Chien who has a diverse musical life as a noted performer, concert presenter, and educator. She is the Founding Artistic Director of String Theory, a premier chamber music series in Chattanooga, TN. With her husband, violinist Soovin Kim, she is also the Co-Artistic Director at the Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival in Burlington, VT and Chamber Music Northwest in Portland, OR. Gloria resides in Lexington, MA with her family and has a brother who is a medical doctor in the Washington D.C. area.
